Now, after living on the east coast for 20 years, I live just south of San Antonio where prickly pear, bluebonnets, and longhorn cattle are pretty common!
My granddaughter, Delaney, is with me and is learning a little more about sewing.
She made a stamp too! We made it a Nana/Granddaughter project. I really think hers is much more adorable than mine!
She designed it herself, too!
My stamp became a throw pillow......
and hers looks perfect in my sewing room!
Many thanks to our cheerleaders, Mdm. Samm and Thearica of Pigtails and Quilts!

ReplyDeleteHow cool that you both made stamps! I love them both. You did such a great job together.
ReplyDeleteLove the stamps, especially the owl one. There's something about projects done by children that are so endearing and I say this as a retired teacher, an innocence that is precious. I have been going through some of my two daughter's school work from many years ago and notice this quality about them. One of my daughters was so prolific and the work starting to deteriorate that I took it to Office Depot and had them scan it onto a CD so I don't have to keep the art work, but the pictures of it live on and can be used at a later date. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow, love your stamp, such detail-love the longhorn, he looks like he is wondering what I am doing! LOL Your granddaughters owl is adorable! Thanks for sharing them both.

ReplyDeleteBoth of your stamps are wonderful. That is a great format.....maybe I will give it a try sometime soon!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, It has been great fun to see what everyone has created for their stamp. When I thought about making a stamp my mind went blank. I should make that a summer challenge to just try and see what I can come up with. Your granddaughter indeed has a creative bug in her. How old is she? She did a great job designing her stamp. Owls are so popular with kids today. I have a little granddaughter who will be 7 in Aug. She has a big owl pillow on her bed. Her owl's name is Olivia. She has already put a bug in my ear several times that she wants her own little sewing machine for her birthday. I said I would see what I could do about that but hate to buy something cheap that doesn't really work. She loves to be in the sewing room with me. Thanks for sharing in the hop along. Janita
ReplyDeleteHey fellow Texan ! Awesome stamp ! Both are just great ! How wonderful you're granddaughter likes to sew. Please tell her I think she did great job on it !
