Spring Is Here!

Longhorn
Doug and I have been walking three miles a day to prepare for an upcoming trip. Down the road from my parent's house is a field where we found longhorns grazing. This guy watched carefully, hoping we might bring him some fresh hay or something. Just up the road, on my parent's acreage, wild flowers are just beginning to bloom. The bluebonnets are there, but not open yet.
My neice picking wildflowers
Only a couple of weeks ago we were in the hill country without outside temperatures in the mid 20's.

We were snug inside with a fire in the fireplace!
I think all that weather is behind us now and we are ready for spring. I hear the birds singing outside now!
Speaking of birds, join me Monday, March 16, to see what I made for the Bird Tree Blog Hop.
See you then!

  1. Oh it looks like you've gotten to move in - maybe just a little? I'm walking too but only a mile a day and on the treadmill. I'll be glad when our weather is good enough to mov outside for that walk! blessings, marlene

  2. I was wondering if you've moved in too. When we visited Texas my boys were quite fascinated with the Longhorns. We don't have them here in Australia.

  4. Yay! It looks like you've moved in. I hate it that I'm going to miss the Texas wildflowers. They are breathtaking and like no other. Pictures on the internet just don't do them justice.

  5. I don't miss the lack of seasons (no fall colours) but I do so miss the wild bluebonnets! They were so breathtaking!

  7. Please show some bluebonnets when they open! With the rains last year, it should be a wonderful show. One of these days, I'll get back for the bluebonnets.
