One Of These Things is Not Like the Others

My grandchildren decorated this tree for me when they were here for Thanksgiving, but there has been an addition. Its a puzzle, similar to Where's Waldo! Can you find the thing that doesn't belong? Hint: It's near the top. It's fluffy. It has two eyes.
Do you see it now?  Someone abandoned this sweet tiny kitten near my house Monday morning, when the temperatures had dropped to 30. She was crying pitifully on my front porch at 5:00 in the morning. I went out to see what was going on and she ran to me shivering and hungry. She is so sweet and friendly, I can't imagine someone just abandoning her to die in the cold. We're in the country and this is not an uncommon thing, unfortunately.
I was looking for her this morning and heard only a little "mew". After searching the house, I heard a rustle in the Christmas tree and found her near the top of the 9 ft. tree.

I finally got her down for a nap!
Now maybe I can do some quilting!
                             Until next time.....
                             Bee Blessed!

  6. She is so cute, how can anyone dump that sweet face. I've always been told that any visitor who shows up out the blue at Christmas time is very special guest and they should be treated with extra attention and love. You never know if it's an angel bringing blessings. Maybe you have an angel in disguise.

  11. That is so sweet and glad you found her and she is safe and warm inside. We had someone do that, one year. They came by in the middle of the night and dropped off a kitten at each house and I found mine in the morning. It is a shame that people do that.

  15. When I saw the first photo, I about died laughing. The little head poking out of the tree ... hilarious. I also laughed when I read Karen Walker's comment. LOL

Such a cute little kitten. So lucky to have found you. You'll have to let us know what you name her.

Thanks for sharing this. So darn cute.

  16. My darling cat came to me after being rescued several times. She was meant to be snake food as a kitten! After that she was moved from a few homes. By the time she came home to me, she was skin and bones (well, and flees....loads and loads of flees). She was anaemic and had no idea what a food bowl or a litter tray were. She has now been with me for over two years. There are still some things that are different about her, she is still very scared but we enjoy each others company more and more each day. Your little kitten looks adorable. Bless you for taking her in. Have loads of fun together!

  20. What a wonderful early Christmas present for you Linda, I think you have a new friend. All 3 of our cats came to us that way and are a joy. When Bella showed up at our house she was so sick, fleas, ear mites and teen tiny. I thought she was only a couple weeks old until I took her to the vet. He figured she was almost 3 months old....just starving. I remember him saying she was very sick but had a strong heart so.....I asked him to do what was necessary to heal her. Enjoy!

  28. Isn't life curious in it's way of blessing us in ways we never expect! I insist that I'm the pet rock type person however; one day last June I was asked to watch a tiny dog for a day or two. This darling named Geronimo currently is snuggled warm in my coat laying across my chest. He brings me much joy, and occasional frustration, not much different then any other child will. I am so glad to have him here and life being what it is he is here HOME now and loved dearly much like your little one. No doubt you and I had no thoughts of going to "pick out" a pet instead they picked out a loving heart and home!
